DG Custom Valuation appeals local manufacturers to get valuation of goods

KARACHI: Spending a very busiest day of the first day of Ramazan at the office, Director General Custom Valuation Syed Tanvir Ahmed heard and concluded different cases.

The Director General Custom Valuation informed Customs Today that the Valuation Department has started a campaign for securing the local manufacturers. He said that at the initial stage the Valuation Department has written letters to 40 to 50 associations to help in gathering the local manufacturers.

He appealed the local manufacturers to join hands with Valuation Department for international level valuation of their goods.

Syed Tanvir Ahmed also said that many times the local manufacturers do not attend different occasions and events regarding the valuation of different items.

DG custom valuation assured full support to the local manufacturers for better valuation of their items that will not only help in boosting revenue but the international standard valuation will also secure the local manufacturers.
