DG Customs determines values of un-finished carpets under VR No710/2015

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has determined the Customs values of un-finished carpet through Valuation Ruling No710/2015 under Section 25-A of the Customs Act, 1969. According to the details, the Customs values of un-finished Polypropylene tufted carpet from China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE and Iran origins having HS Code 5703.3090 and proposed PCT for Weboc is 5703.3090.1000 are fixed at US$ 2.65 per sqm for carpets having weight of 1000grams per square meter.

The Customs values of un-finished Polyester tufted carpet from China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE and Iran origins having HS Code 5703.3090 and proposed PCT for Weboc is 5703.3090.2000 are fixed according to a formula which include total net weight divided by total square meter multiply by 2.65.
