KARACHI: The Directorate General Customs Intelligence and Investigation Imtiaz Ahmad Khan has finalized the contravention report of the consignment caught during import through mis-declaration of aluminum batteries cell.
According to details, the DG Customs Intelligence has foiled the import of aluminum batteries cell, which was being imported by the M/s Owais Traders and it was cleared with the help of clearing agent by mis-declaration. The DG Customs Intelligence busted the attempt and halted its clearance for showing aluminium batteries cell in low voltage.
DG Customs Intelligence has now finalized the contravention report of the consignment, whereas action against M/s Owais Traders and the clearing agent involved in manipulating the goods consignment will be taken according to the law.
The DG Customs Intelligence will also issue show cause notices to both importer M/s Owais Traders and the clearing agent.
