ISLAMABAD: Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation DG Lutfullah Virk has given directions to all directorates that officials of Customs Intelligence and Investigation should appear before courts with full preparation. He also said that the Deputy Directors and Assistant Directors will themselves appear before courts in all important cases. He also stated that approval from Additional Director is necessary before submitting comments in pending cases.
He ordered to compile a detailed list of cases with brief notes of progress after which a priority list will be compiled. The cases of big amounts will be followed on priority basis. He also ordered to submit progress report of lawyers to judge their performance. The lawyers with zero performance will be changed.
