DG Customs Valuation revises customs value of load cells

KARACHI: The Director of Customs Valuation has issued a fresh valuation ruling no.861/2016, revising the customs values of load cells.

According to the customs authorities, a number of applications were received for revising customs values on the import of different types of load cells. Customs Intelligence had also requested to re-determine the customs values of the items. Hence, an exercise was carried out to revise the values of load cells imported under PCT 9031.8000.

As per fresh ruling, the customs values of platform/single point load cell of all origins upto 20kgs have been fixed at $3.5/piece, 21-40kgs at $6.5/piece, 41-100kgs at $8.0/piece, 101-300kgs at $22/piece, 301-500 at $40/piece, 501-1000kgs at $81/piece, 1001-5000 at $162/piece and 5000-10000kgs at $405/piece.

The customs values of beam type load cell of all origins upto 20kgs are fixed at $27/piece, 21-40kgs at $72/piece, 41-100kgs at $141/piece, 101-300kgs at $202/piece, 301-500 at $303/piece, 501-1000kgs at $344/piece, 1001-5000 at $486/piece and 5000-10000kgs at $693/piece.

The customs values of other types of the cells with differing weight have been revised and they would be assessed under the fresh ruling.
