DG Customs Valuation revises customs values of Toyota Hilux Vigo/ Rivo

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has issued fresh valuation ruling No. 860\2016 revising its earlier ruling No.705\2015.

According to the customs officials, customs values of Toyota Hilux Vigo\Rivo of Thailand origin for model year 2009-10, 2011-12 and 2013-14 were determined through valuation ruling  No.705\2015 on January 14, 2015.

A representation was received from the Customs Collectorate of Appraisement -East contending that the subject vehicles of model year 2015 and 2016 are being imported with different specifications and values therefore the ruling be revised .

Subsequently, a meeting of stakeholders was held on May 23 which was attended by the representatives of M\s Indus Motors, M\s Sigma Motors and All Pakistan Motor Dealers Assosiations.

According to the fresh ruling, new customs duty and taxes have been fixed for Toyota Hilux Vigo standard cab, Toyota Hilux Vigo smart cab, Toyota Hilux Vigo double cabin, Toyota Hilux Rivo standard cab, and other vehicles.
