DG Customs Valuation Tanveer Ahmed issues Order in Revision against VR No 873/2016

KARACHI: Director General Customs Valuation Syed Tanveer Ahmed has issues an Order in Revision No 218 /2016 under section 25-D of the Customs Act, 1969 against Valuation Ruling No.873/2016 dated 21-06-2016.

According to the details, the revision petition was filed by M/s Atif & Co & others under section 25-D of the Customs Act, 1969 against customs value determined vide Valuation Ruling No.873/2016 dated 21-06-2016 issued under  25-A of the Customs Act, 1969.

Director General Customs Valuation Syed Tanveer Ahmed in his order stated that, “I have examined the case as per data available on records of the file and evidences of import i.e. GDs, packing list, invoices etc. submitted by the importer/local manufacturers during the review proceedings. Scrutiny of the import documents and further investigation in respect of goods imported was conducted”.

On the other hand the difference between imports of Sri Lanka and other origins may be kept intact on the basis of freight difference and being identical on facts and law points, this order shall also apply mutatis & mutandis to the following petitions.
