DG Customs Valuation to review departmental actions

KARACHI: Director General of the Customs Valuation Department Syed Tanvir Ahmed has called a high level meeting to review the progress of the Valuation Data Base as well as the preparation of the Valuation Link for the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Website.

According to details, the officials of the Customs Valuation Department will be giving a detailed briefing on the preparation of the Customs Valuation Link for the FBR Website and the Data Base being built for the Valuation of the different items.

The Customs Valuation Department has successfully uploaded more than four hundred valuation rulings up till now and all the Valuations of the different items will be uploaded in WeBOC system, the valuation rulings will be visible to all assessing officers.

During the meeting the Syed Tanvir Ahmed will also be briefed regarding the concerns of the importers and traders over the increased valuation of the different items.

The officers of the Customs Valuation will also be giving briefing on preparation of the Valuation Link for the FBR Website, by the addition on the Customs Valuation Department slot at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Website the concern department and the trade will be able to collect important information on the finger tip.
