DG Excise seeks details of property tax defaulters

LAHORE: Director General of Excise and Taxation seeks lists of property tax defaulters in the province to make new policies for recoveries.

Through a circular, Director General Ahmad Aziz Tara has asked the officials concerned to provide details of defaulters in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Gujranwala divisions. According to sources, the department is getting a good amount of property tax, but the director general wants to enhance the tax money. The department will decide further steps to recover property tax after getting lists of the defaulters, sources said.
