DG Excise issues charge sheet against 26 employees of Rawalpindi Motor Branch

LAHORE: The Director General Excise and Taxation has issued charge sheet against 26 employees for their alleged involvement in corruption case of Rs 130 million.

It was observed during the audit that from December 2012 to June 2013, at least Rs 130 million of irregularities were committed in wake of life time token tax of vehicles and professional tax by the officials of Rawalpindi region. The audit officials submitted a report to DG Excise Ahmed Aziz Tarar for further action.
