DG Excise warns regional directors to achieve target

LAHORE: Excise and Taxation Department Director General Akram Ashraf Gondal has issued warnings to some regional directors to improve the tax recovery process.

The DG said that all regions must achieve their set targets before the end of the current fiscal year otherwise strict actions will be taken against those showing poor performance. He also issued special warnings to some regions, including Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur and Gujranwala on showing unsatisfactory performance so far.

Meanwhile, he appreciated the performance of some regions, including Lahore, Kasur and DG Khan for their good performance.

It may mention here that a directors’ conference is going to hold in Lahore. DG Akram Ashraf will review the performance of all regions regarding the tax collections.
