DG Imtiaz hails performance of directors Yaqoob, Asif Marghoob

KARACHI: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Director General Imtiaz Ahmad Khan visited the regional office for reviewing overall progress of the departments where he appreciated the performance of officials.

During the visit, Customs Intelligence-Enforcement Director Muhammad Yaqoob Mako and Customs Intelligence-ASO Director Asif Marghoob Siddiqui gave detailed briefing about the record maintained during the last three month.

Director General Imtiaz Ahmad expressed satisfaction over the progress of the both factions of the Customs Intelligence. He appreciated the work of Director Muhammad Yaqoob Mako and Director Asif Marghoob Siddiqui for curbing the smuggling and other attempts, causing losses to national kitty.

Source informed that the director general issued directives to the heads of the departments to enhance the vigilance and spread the net of the informers across Sindh so that the culprits involved in the crime could be brought to table. He also said the violators must be dealt with iron hands.

DG Imtiaz Ahmad also gave special instruction to remain vigilant and keep an eagle eye to stop revenue leakages causing millions of rupees loss to the country by importers of the different goods. He also warned the officer of stern action if anyone found in corruption or any illegal activities, the source added.
