DG NAB hands over recovered amount of Rs 1.649m to FBR

KARACHI: National Accountability Court (NAB) Director General Col (r) Sirajul Naeem has handed over a cheque of Rs 1.649 million to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) at NAB Sindh office. The money was recovered from alleged frauds.

According to details, M/s Ali Sons and others were found involved in obtaining illegal sales tax refund. And, the analysis of the record revealed that the suspected bank accounts were used by several firms in sales tax fraud. A number of suppliers submitted fake invoices from Karachi and Sialkot.
