DG Tanveer to review performance of Customs Valuation today

KARACHI: Customs Valuation Director General Syed Tanveed Ahmed to review over all progress of the department today.

Sources informed that DG Syed Tanveed Ahmed has called a meeting to review the progress of the department after the vacations of Eid-ul-Azha. The officer of the department will give detailed briefing to the DG on overall performance.

Syed Tanveed Ahmed would direct the officers to expedite the working, especially gearing up the process of issuing valuation rulings of different goods within the given time frame, the source informed.

On the other hand, it is expected that the GG would spend a busiest day due to the hearings of the different cases as well as due to the preparation of valuation rulings of the different items, sources added.

DG Syed Tanveed Ahmed who started attending the office from the last Thursday was on the official visit to Malaysia to attend a seminar on the ‘Implementation of Trade Facilitation Agreement’ (ITFA) where senior officials from other countries also participated in the seminar.
