KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation issued the reference values for cotton candy machine 950 Watts and bakery food warmer (up to 2.62 KW).
According to details, the Directorate General initiated an exercise to develop database values for different items wherein it has been observed that declarations are of wide range and do not correctly reflect values of the items as traded in the international market.
During the scrutiny of previous clearance data, it was observed that cotton candy machine 950 Watts falling under PCT heading 8516.7990 are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side.
The Directorate General, after carefully examining the clearance data, also conducted market inquiries to verify the authenticity of declarations. Online prices were also obtained to corroborate the findings of the market surveys. Therefore the customs values of cotton candy machine 950 Watts are as cotton candy machine 950 Watts China origin US$190 per piece.
Meanwhile, the directorate issued another valuation for bakery food warmer (up to 2.62KW) as bakery food warmer (up to 2.62KW) China origin US$250 per piece.
These values are, however, for reference/guidance only and final assessment may please be made after considering other factors which have bearing on the customs value.
