DG Valuation issues reference values for different kinds of massager chairs

KARACHI: Directorate General of Customs Valuation has issued the reference values for different kinds of massager chairs.

According to the details, Directorate General Valuation is populating valuation database values for different items wherein it has been observed that declarations are of wide range and do not correctly reflect values of the items as traded in the international market.

During the scrutiny of previous clearance data, it has been observed that different kinds of massager machines, falling under PCT heading 9019.1000 are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side.

The Directorate General Valuation, after carefully examining the clearance data, also conducted market inquiries to verify the authenticity of declarations. Online prices were also obtained to corroborate the findings of the market surveys. Directorate General Valuation, therefore, has found that the VDB values of different kinds of massager chair (low end brands) US$5.00 per kilograms and food massage US$6.00 per kilograms and car home pillow China origin US$4.00 per kilograms.
