DG Valuation issues reference values for welding wire, soldering wire, ladies under garment

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has issued the reference values for ladies under garment brassieres, welding wires and soldering wire.

According to details, the Directorate General is populating Valuation Database Values for different items wherein it has been observed that declarations are of wide range and do not correctly reflect values of the items as traded in the international market.

During the scrutiny of previous clearance data, it was observed that ladies under garment brassieres falling under PCT heading 6212.1000 are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side.

The Directorate found that the VDB values of ladies under garment brassieres are as ladies under garment brassieres China origin US$10 per kilogram, ladies under garment brassieres Hong Kong/Thailand origin US$14 per kilogram, ladies under garment brassieres UAE/Turkey/India/Sri Lanka origin US$18 per kilogram, ladies under garment brassieres UK/Europe origin US$22 per kilogram.

Another database ruling for welding wires was issued by the Directorate General. The Directorate General found that the VDB values of welding wire are welding wire ER70S-6 China origin US$0.92 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General found that the VDB values of soldering wire are soldering wire containing tin content more than 20% and less than 60 % China origin US$6 per kilogram, soldering wire containing more than 60% tin content China origin US$12 per kilogram.
