KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation issued the reference values of Adidas brand and Mora brand blankets (different types).
According to details, the Directorate General initiated an exercise to develop database values for different items and observed that declarations are of wide range and do not correctly reflect values of the items as traded in the international market.
During the scrutiny of previous clearance data, it was observed that Adidas brand falling under PCT headings 6103.4900, 6105.1000 and 6105.1000 are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side.
The Directorate General after carefully examining the clearance data also conducted market inquiries to verify the authenticity of declarations. Online prices were also obtained to corroborate the findings of the market surveys. The Directorate General, therefore, has found that the customs values of Adidas brand as gents track suit (all types) all origin US$32 per piece, men/women T-shirts (all types) all origin US$12 per piece, men/women shirts (all types) all origin US$21 per piece and men/women trouser (all types) all origin US$26 per piece.
Meanwhile, the Directorate General issued another Valuation of Mora brand blankets (different types).
The Directorate General issued the customs values of Mora brand blankets (different types) as double bed blankets all types all origin US$50 per piece, single bed blankets all types all origin US$28 per piece and baby blankets all types all origin US$13 per piece.
These values are, however, for reference/guidance only and final assessment may please be made after considering other factors which have bearing on the customs value.
