DG Valuation issues reference values of Gentamycin Injection, PVC toilet seat cover

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation has issued the reference values of Gentamycin Injection and PVC toilet seat cover.

According to details, the Directorate General initiated an exercise to develop database values for different items wherein it has been observed that declarations are of wide range and do not correctly reflect values of the items as traded in the international market.

During the scrutiny, it was observed that Gentamycin Injection 80MG 2ML falling under PCT headings 3004.2000 are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side.

The Directorate General, after carefully examining the clearance data, also conducted market inquiries to verify the authenticity of declarations. Online prices were also obtained to corroborate the findings of the market surveys. This office, therefore, has found that the customs values of Gentamycin Injection 80MG 2 ML are Gentamycin Injection 80MG 2ML China origin $5.25 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General issued Valuation of the PVC toilet seat cover.

During the scrutiny of previous clearance data, it was been observed that PVC toilet seat cover falling under PCT headings 3922.2000 are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side.

The Directorate General, after carefully examining the clearance data, also conducted market inquiries to verify the authenticity of declarations. Online prices were also obtained to corroborate the findings of the market surveys. This office, therefore, has found that the customs values of PVC toilet seat cover of China origin are $2.96 kilogram.

These values are, however, for reference/guidance only and final assessment may please be made after considering other factors which have bearing on the customs value.
