DG Valuation issues reference values of Pentaerythritol 98% min & ice cream

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation issued the reference values Pentaerythritol 98 percent min and another Valuation is ice cream.

According to details, the Directorate General is populating Valuation Database Values for different items wherein it has been observed that declarations are of wide range and do not correctly reflect values of the items as traded in the international market.

During the scrutiny of previous clearance data, it was observed that Pentaerythritol 98 percent min falling under PCT heading 2905.4200 are being assessed at different values and certain transactions are on very low side. The Directorate General, after carefully examining the clearance data, also conducted market inquiries to verify the authenticity of declarations. Online prices were also obtained to corroborate the findings of the market surveys. Therefore the VDB values of Pentaerythritol 98% min are as Pentaerythritol 98% min China/Taiwan origin US$1.425 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the directorate issued another Valuation of ice cream.

The Directorate General, after carefully examining the clearance data, also conducted market inquiries to verify the authenticity of declarations. Online prices were also obtained to corroborate the findings of the market surveys. Therefore the VDB values of ice cream are as Haagen Daz ice cream assorted flavors all origins US$5 per kilogram, London Dairy ice cream assorted flavors         all origins US$4.90 per kilogram, Moven Pick ice cream assorted flavors all origins US$10 per kilogram, Baskin Robbins ice cream all origins US$5.10 per kilogram, Ben & Jerry ice cream   all origins US$5 per kilogram, assorted impulse ice cream all origins US$4.50 per kilogram, other brand all origins US$5.50 per kilogram.

The clearance collectorates may like to consider the values given above before finalizing the assessment of the subject items. If further fine-tuning in specifications and ensuing values are required, Collectorate may forward a reference along with detailed justifications and worksheets so that requisite adjustments are accordingly issued.
