DGTR holds training session regarding Electronic Import Form

KARACHI: The Directorate General of Training and Research (DGTR), while following the directives of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), has issued a training schedule for importers and clearing agents with regard to the use of Electronic Import Form (EIF).

Through a circular, the DGTR has announced that the training session will commence from December 19 to 21 at the old Customs House building. The timings of the session are from 9am to 2pm without a break.

During the session, the customs officers and other experts would deliver lectures to the participants on the use of EIF while filing the goods declaration.

It may be mentioned here that the FBR has introduced EIF system for filing of the goods declaration on the pattern of export consignments.

The importers and clearing agents had been facing difficulties in filing the goods declaration through EIF, therefore, the FBR has decided to hold training sessions for traders and business community. The 3-day session would also include the presentations by the Customs officers and researchers.
