DHAKA: Airport Armed Police Battalion arrested two persons after recovering 21 gold bars, weighing 2.1 kilogrammes, worth around Tk 95 lakh, from their hand luggage at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital early yesterday.
Abu Yousuf Ali, 31, and his friend Masud Mia, 38, both of Comilla and passengers of an Air Asia flight that came from Dubai, were held at canopy-2 after they came out of the airport completing all formalities at the customs house, said Tanjina Akter, an assistant superintendent of APBn. A case was filed.
