Dhareja demands govt divide Punjab Revenue Board in two units

MULTAN: Seraikistan Quomi Ittehad President Zahoor Ahmad Dhareja has demanded the government divide revenue board into two units in Punjab until the formation of a separate province of southern Punjab for the development of this region.

He was talking to the media persons along with other members of his party. He said that economic issues of the people of southern Punjab are so critical that they cannot be resolved without making a new province. He demanded that collected revenue and taxes from the region of southern Punjab should be spent on the people of southern Punjab to eliminate the sense of deprivation in them.

He stated that establishment of a separate province is the need of the hour for the elimination of poverty in the region of southern Punjab and the people of South Punjab have first right on the taxes collected from the region. He suggests that ban should be imposed on allotments of land in the area of Cholistan to address the grievances of the people in the region and poverty of the southern Punjab cannot be eliminated through the construction of Metro bus in the Multan City. He said that the people of southern Punjab are facing multiple issues but the crucial issue is the division of its assets at equal scale for the people of Punjab.
