Diana Shipping inc. experiences heavy trading volume

ATHENS: Diana Shipping inc. shares had a trading volume of 1,094K by the end of trading on Friday. Overall, volume was up 136.99% over the stocks normal daily volume.

Stifel Financial Corp augmented its holdings by buying 476,967 shares an increase of 16.6% as of 06/30/2017. Stifel Financial Corp owns 3,348,238 shares with a value of $13,569,000. The value of the position overall is up by 2.3%. As of quarter end State Street Corp had acquired 10,694 shares growing its stake by 15.4%. The value of the total investment in Diana Shipping inc. went from $321,000 to $324,000 a change of 0.9% for the reporting period.

Diana Shipping Inc. provides shipping transportation services. The company transports a range of dry bulk cargoes, including iron ore, coal, and grains, as well as steel products, cement, and fertilizers through its ownership of dry bulk vessels worldwide. It operates a fleet of 48 dry bulk vessels comprising 23 Panamax, 4 Kamsarmax, 3 Post-Panamax, 14 Capesize, and 4 Newcastlemax vessels. The company was formerly known as Diana Shipping Investments Corp. and changed its name to Diana Shipping Inc. in February 2005. Diana Shipping Inc. was founded in 1999 and is based in Athens, Greece.
