Collector Customs Multan deals workload out among three officers for better result

MULTAN: Collector Model Customs Collectorate Multan Ambreen Ahmad Tarar distributed the workload among the Deputy Collector and Assistant Collectors with immediate effect.

The collectorate, in order to streamline collectorate’s workload, distributed the work among three officials including Deputy Collector and Assistant collectors.

Deputy Collector Saqib-ur-Rehman has been assigned the responsibilities of Multan Customs Collectorate Headquarters which are related to administration, budget and accounts. He will also supervise General Branch and Customs Branch. He will look after the court cases of Multan Customs which are under the adjudication of all forums.

The Drug Enforcement Cell, Security of Customs House, State Warehouse, Statistical Branch, Transport and MEUs also work under his management. The Anti-Smuggling Organization will also work under his supervision. The charge of the Investigation & Prosecution has also been given to Deputy Collector Saqib-ur-Rehman.

Assistant Collectors Omer Bin Zafar Chatha and Asma Bashir will deal with all the matters related to Traffic & Air Freight Unit (AFU) including Import and Export of International Airports Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Rahimyar Khan and Bahawalpur. He will also do all the matters of Rebates and Refunds of Multan Customs Collectorate.

He will also supervise the new projects of the Multan Customs and FTO matters along with all the affairs of Duty Free Shop of Multan. He has been directed to look after the matters of the General Post Office too.

Assistant Collector Muhammad Ikram has been given the charge of the Multan Dry Port (Imports & Exports), Export Terminal Muzaffargarh, DRRA, Auction, Adjudication of Manifest Violations, Recovery Cell and Manufacturing Bonds. He will also supervise the matters of Internal Audit, Licensing, DTRE, M.I.S and CPF Bonded Warehouse.

Effective workload distribution of work will enhance the performance of the collectorate.
