DG Imtiaz Ahmad directs Collector Qurban to hold auction of conficated vehicles

PESHAWAR: Director General Customs Intelligence Imtiaz Ahmad Khan visited Customs Intelligence Peshawar office and appreciated the performance of the intelligence branch of the customs.

On this occasion, Collector Customs House Peshawar Qurban Ali, Director Customs Intelligence Mohammad Asghar Khan, Director Trade and Transit and other high ranking officers of the Customs Department were present on the occasion. Director General Customs intelligence also visited the parking area of confiscated vehicles and directed early auction of the confiscated non-customs paid vehicles.

He said that valuable vehicles turned to scrap due to late auction and caused losses worth billions of rupees to national exchequer. He directed the quarters concerned to ensure timely auction of the cars to avoid rash in parking areas as damage of these vehicles.
