Director Internal Audit for preparing audit-paras related to post clearance of ‘plastic dana’

KARACHI: Director of the Directorate General of Internal Audit-Customs Imtiaz Ahmed has asked the officers to prepare the audit paras regarding the post-dated cleared consignments of ‘plastic dana’ during the last three years from all three field formation Collectorates i.e. Customs Appraisement West, East and Customs Port Muhammad Bin Qasim.

Director Imtiaz Ahmed, in a recent meeting, has asked all the officers concerned to start their working in connection with establishing the audit paras regarding the clearance of the consignments pertaining to the ‘plastic dana’.

The director Internal Audit-Customs further said that the audit-paras would be completed by the end of this current month, so that those paras would be sent to the director general for further approval.

It is pertinent to mention here that the officers of the department has already prepared audit-paras related to the past consignments of steel pallets, auto-parts and cloths and also sent those audit-paras to the concerned field formation Collectorates.

The Director General of the Directorate General of Internal Audit-Customs Dr Owais Agha Jawwad has already asked the Director Imtiaz Ahmed to enhance the performance of the department. However, the audit-paras which had been prepared by the Internal Audit-Customs Department have been forwarded to the respective Collectorates for settlements.
