Director Internal Audit’s post lying vacant since March 1, 2016

KARACHI: The post of Director Internal Audit in Directorate General of Customs has been lying vacant since March 1, 2016 after the retirement of its director, it is learnt.

An officer of the Pakistan Customs Service (BS-20) Zahid Hyder Bhayo retired on the elast week of February 2016 and after his retirement the office of Director Internal Audit was seen locked besides the staff also preferred to stay away due to unavailability of the director.

Sources told Customs Today that the Director General Internal Audit has also informed the FBR about the retirement of the Director Zahid Hyder Bhayo and requested for early posting of new director.

Interestingly, the FBR has yet to install new director at the post which would ensure smooth functioning of the department, sources said, adding that Zahid Hyder Bhayo was the honest officer who always worked with honesty and dedication.
