KARACHI: The newly appointed Director of the Directorate of Reforms and Automation (R&A) Wajid Ali called an introductory meeting of the Directorate at his office on Wednesday. The additional directors, deputy directors and assistant directors were also present on the occasion.
The officials of the Directorate of R&A briefed Wajid Ali on the ongoing projects in the Reforms and Automation. They informed the R&A director about the newly introduced software i.e. Electronic Import Form (EIF). The director was told that the software was working smoothly and the grievances of the importers were being resolved.
During the meeting, the Director Wajid Ali also asked about the developments in Web Based One Customs (WeBOC), adding that the evolution is an ongoing process and the software system should be updated by the passage of time.
The Director R&A Wajid Ali further asked about the status of sharing the WeBOC software to other foreign countries as per agreement.
They also informed the Director R&A that 80per cent working in this regard has been finalized and soon a delegation of foreign countries would visit Pakistan in this connection.
The Director R&A Wajid Ali was expressed satisfaction over the ongoing working of the Directorate and asked them to improve their working more in order to get best results.
