The delegation complained Wasif Memon regarding the smuggling and sale of the spare parts in the local market on cheaper prices. The delegation was of the view that due to the smuggling of the spare parts, the genuine importers of spare parts are facing huge losses.

The delegation also informed the director that in international market the prices of Chinese spare parts are low, therefore, the valuation must be revised.

Director, Directorate General of Customs Valuation assured the delegation for addressing their issues on priority bases.

According to the source, the director will reevaluate duties on the spare part after a comprehensive survey of the local market. On the other hand, a meeting with the spare part dealers will be held at the end of the current month for settling the issues of spare parts imported from China.
