KARACHI: Director, Directorate General of Customs Valuation, Dr Wasif Memon has revised the customs values of float glass, glass vide Valuation Ruling No 828/2016.
According to the Valuation Ruling, the importers of various types of glasses have been agitating for the revision of Valuation Ruling No.373/2011 on the grounds that ruling is old and values in the international market have considerably decreased. Hence an exercise to revise the values was carried on by this Directorate General.
As per the Valuation Ruling, the values of clear float glass 2mm of China are fixed at $2.0/sqm, UAE/Saudi Arabia at $2.03/sqm and other origins excluding USA/Europe at $2.24/sqm.
