Replying to a query, the sources further disclosed that the federal government has asked the Federal Board of Revenue to ease the newly introduced EIF System, so that the importers could easily understand the system and through this means the trade and import of the country could be enhanced.

It is pertinent to mention here that the FBR have launched the newly introduced EIF System for filing the Goods Declaration (GD) for importing any consignments by the advent of September 2016, the implementation of EIF system was later deferred by the Customs authorities on the request of the importers, as they have some reservations over the newly introduced system.
