Dist council approves Rs823.6m budget

SARGODHA: A budget of Rs 823.6 million has been approved for District Council Sargodha for the year 2017-18, under which various ongoing and new projects will be completed.

The meeting of District Council was held here on Monday presided over by Vice Chairman Mazhar Hussain while District Council Chairman Sardar Asim Sher Maken presented the budget. The Chairman in his speech told the meeting that Rs 400 million funds had been allocated for Annual Development Programme while Rs 11 million had been allocated for salaries of district council employees.

Funds of Rs 42 million have been allocated for salaries of Urban Union Council employees and Rs 188 million funds for non-development expenditures, he said.

Sardar Asim Sher disclosed that the District Council had estimated Rs 636 million grants from its resources and from Provincial government funds.

He directed the officials concerned to complete all the ongoing development projects within fifteen days. The meeting also approved the construction of a meeting Hall at district Council building.
