District Council Mirpurkhas approves Rs376m budget

MIRPURKHAS: The District Council Mirpurkhas has approved the budget of Rs. 376 million for the fiscal year 2017-18.

Chairman District Council Mirpurkhas Mir Anwar Talpur said Rs. 232 million has been allocated for development works, Rs. 4 million for the procurement of vehicles, over Rs. 63 million earmarked for the salaries of employees.

Talpur said Rs. 1.6 million has been allocated for the procurement of stationery, computer machinery and Rs. 35 million for the pensions of retired employees. Rs. 200,000 each for press club and district bar council and Rs. 100,000 has been earmarked for mango festival.

The budget was approved with the consensus of all the members of the council.
