TOKYO: Developer Dontnod Entertainment has unveiled  3rd  and final  developer diary for the upcoming episodic title Life is Strange.

While the first two videos in the three-part series focused on the butterfly effect and social themes found in Life Is Strange, the latest developer diary shifts the attention on the music and creating the town of Arcadia Bay.

The development team reveals the importance of finding a “blend” between licensed tracks and music from a composer, while explaining the reason for selecting a specific musician or song for each episode.

Meanwhile, the depth and scale for creating Arcadia Bay is explored, including the use of photographs and Google Street View of a U.S. city located in the Pacific Northwest.

“I believe video games are the future of storytelling and I think this is just a pre-history of video games,” says Dontnod Entertainment co-founder Jmax.

“We’re just pioneers. The industry is just learning to walk on its feet right now and that’s what inspires me, it’s being part of that incredible movement.”
