DPC defers promotion of 26 customs’ superintendent

MULTAN: The departmental promotion committee for superintendent preventive service and principal appraiser to the Post of assistant collector BS-17 have raised objection against the promotion of almost 26 superintendents.

The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan Superintendent Tanvir Ahmad Malik promotion has been deferred due to not declaring his assets except 2007. Superintendent Tanvir Ahmad Malik is serving in the Anti-Smuggling Organization at the MCC Multan.

Superintendent Tanvir Ahmad Malik was waiting for his promotion from last few years but the departmental promotion committee has delayed his promotion by raising an objection for the declaration of his assets.

There were total 26 names under consideration in the departmental promotion committee which includes Superintendent Faisal Mahmood, Arif Razal,Shafique Ahmad Mughal, Tariq Mashkoor, Shah Faisal, Waseem Feroze, Najam Hameed , Abdul Hafeez, Muhammad Zafar Iqbal and Shaheen  Farooq. These ten superintendents’ names were deferred in the departmental promotion committee due to various reasons. Some of them were waiting since 1999 but few of them facing disciplinary cases.

While other 16 Superintendents of Customs were found incomplete on panel recommendations due to certain criteria they includes Muhammad Idrees Qureshi,  Kaleem Akhtar Sheikh, Tanvir Ahmad Malik, Mian Fazali Saleem, Sarfaraz Ahmad , Najam Pervaiz, Inayat ullah Khan, Muzaffar Ali Rizvi, Javed Hassan, Masood ul Hassan, Mehmud ur Rehman,  Imtiaz Ahnad,  Asad Khan Afridi  , Riaz Akbar Shah , Jamil Ahmad Khan. Most of these have not declared their assets.
