ARIZONA: The Arizona Department of Public Safety arrested three people and seized nearly 30 pounds of methamphetamine in a west Phoenix neighborhood, according to a DPS spokesman.
DPS worked with the FBI’s Violent Street Gang Task Force to investigate a suspected drug-trafficking organization with ties to Mexico and local gangs, DPS spokesman Bart Graves said.
Three people, whose names have not been released, were arrested, and 28.7 pounds of methamphetamine was seized during the search near 75th Avenue and Thomas Road, Graves said.
The street value of the seized drugs is around $160,000. Detectives also seized $3,500 in cash and one vehicle, Graves said.
The task force consists of detectives, investigators and agents from DPS, the FBI, Phoenix Police Department, the Arizona Department of Corrections and Border Patrol
