Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah appointed as Federal Tax Ombudsman

ISLAMABAD: Chief Collector Customs North Region Dr. Asif Mehmood Jah after his retirement from Pakistan Customs Service (PCS) has appointed Federal Tax Ombudsman for period of four years.

According to Notification No F.1(18)2017 issued by Ministry of Law and Justice, it said that in exercise of powers conferred by section (3)1 of the establishment of the office of the FTO (Federal Tax Ombudsman) ordinance 2000 xxxv 0f 2000.

The President of Pakistan please to approve appointment of Dr Asif Mehmood Jah a retired PCS BS-21 officer as FTO for period of four year effect from taking oath of office.

It is worth mentioning here that the notifications No.1704-C1 2021 of premature retirement of Asif Jah were issued twice first was issued on 20 August 2021 which was said that on attaining the age of superannuation that Asif Mehmood Jah officer of BS-21 presently posted Chief Collector North shell stand retired from government service with effect from 4-5-2022.

Meanwhile before couple of weeks the Secretary HRMC1 issued 2nd notification No.2187-C12021which said that consequent upon the approval of competent authority conveyed vide UO No.2017 SPM 2021 Dr Asif Jah BS 21 presently posted at Chief Collector North Islamabad after rendering 28 years of service stand prematurely retired from government service with immediate effect.

It was further mention in the same notification that retirement notification no.No.1704-C1 2021 dated 2021 issued earlier is hereby cancelled.
