Dr Irshad says taxpayers deserve maximum facilities

SIALKOT: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Inland Revenue-Operations (IR) Member Dr Irshad Ahmed has said that the taxpayers were loyal to Pakistan and they deserved maximum facilitation regarding the tax payment and other related incentives as well.

He stated this while addressing an important meeting of the senior officials held at the Regional Tax Office (RTO), Sialkot. IR Chief Commissioner Syed Raza Kazmi was also present on this occasion.

The member directed the RTO officials to make all out efforts to expand the tax net and bring maximum people under the tax net without disturbing and harassing the people.

He also directed the officials to ensure the early solution to the tax related problems of the taxpayers.

Dr. Irshad Ahmed revealed that the FBR was making all out sincere efforts for expanding the tax net besides striving to purge the revenue collection from corruption.

He said that the government was also committed to streamline the revenue collection system and to develop an effective and advanced mechanism for revenue collection.

He added that the payment of taxes always played a pivotal role in socio-economic development of any society and the timely collection of revenue in shape of different taxes also paved the way of achievement of the socio-economic development targets.
