Drive against power pilferage in full swing

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) drive against illegal use of electricity and recovery of dues has been geared up throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The PESCO spokesman said here Thursday Pesco teams under the supervision of Nadeem Afridi Xen Cantt division Peshawar checked various premises in the jurisdiction of Gulberg, University Town-2 and Kohat Road sub divisions along with Pesco Police and nabbed 18 persons using direct connections.

FIRs registered against the accused who were identified as Shah Jehan s/o Shah Nazar, Yasin s/o IjazAhmad, Shahid s/o FaridUllah, Hussain Khan s/o Adam Khan, Dilshad s/o Muhammad Ali, Aziz Khan s/o GulRehman, Sajad s/o Nazir, SherZaman s/o Hamish Gul, ArbabNaik Ahmad s/o AbdurRaouf, Rohooullah s/o Muhammad Khan, Sakhawat Shah s/o Darwash, AyazMohmood s/o Mahomood Ahmad, Javed Khan s/o NasirKhan, Sajad s/o Syed Rehman, SirajGul s/o GulAfzal, Jahangir Khan s/o Sadiq, Imran s/o Rokhan and Khan Syed s/o Shamroz.

Pesco said that drive against illegal use of electricity and direct hooks would continue and warned illegal consumers to remove direct hooks.
