Dry Port clears 1550 containers, 1461 GDs during H1 of FY2016-17

ISLAMABAD: Dry Port cleared 1550 containers as for as filed 1461 Goods Declarations (GDs) during the first half (July to December) of Financial year (FY) 2016-17.

Assistant Collector Amanat Ali Khan told Customs Today that during first half of current financial year (2016-17) Dry Port cleared 1550 containers of imported goods and filed 1461 GDs of export goods which show that Dry Port did outstanding business during the above said period. He added that during the month of December (FY16-17) Dry Port cleared 805 containers and processed 771 GDs files as for as passed 275 containers during November (FY16-17) and processed 263 GDs files.

He said that during the month of October (FY16-17) Dry Port cleared 235 containers as for as processed 224 GDs files adding that during the month of September (FY16-17) Dry Port cleared 241 containers and processed 210 GDs files. Whereas, during the month of August (FY16-17) cleared 302 containers and processed 293 GDs as for as during the month of July (FY16-17) Dry Port cleared 202 containers and processed 187 of GDs files.
