Dry Port generates Rs55.84m more CD than allocated target

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Dry port Islamabad collected Rs55.84million Customs Duty than the assigned target for February of Financial Year 2016-17.

According to Assistant Collector Islamabad Dry Port, long holidays of China have ended now and the dry port started work again. The consignments, stopped at China Border due to holidays, are reaching the dry port consignments within the next few days. He said this month the dry port will get more handsome revenue against the previous months. Last month most of the consignments comprised spare-parts and less fabric as most of fabric comes from Chins whereas spare-parts come from European countries.

Telling about the details of CD collection during February, he said the dry port generated Rs285.837million CD against the assigned target of Rs230million under the same head while the dry port collected Rs274.561million during the same period of corresponding year 2015-16.
