Dubai Chamber set to host global finance symposium

DUBAI: The global event, which is being held for the first time in Dubai, will see the participation of nearly 200 academics and representatives from local and foreign banks who will present 174 research papers covering a wide variety of issues that are impacting the global finance sector. Dubai Chamber will present new research evaluating the impact of innovation on the performance of banks in the UAE and the wider GCC region. Representatives from the University of Dubai will present 10 papers that will include insights on the growth of the SME sector in the Arab world and the impact of government regulation on the Gulf region’s finance sector, among other topics.

The symposium will feature an impressive line-up of globally acclaimed academicians and keynote speakers, including Marcin Kacperczyk, Professor of Finance at Imperial College London and Vikrant Vig, Professor of Finance, London Business School and Co-Editor, Review of Finance.
