Dubai Customs devises Smart Majlis plan

DUBAI: A new action plan has been devised by Dubai Customs’ Strategy and Corporate Excellence Department to keep pace with the Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis initiative.

The MBR Smart Majlis is the largest smart and integrated platform in Dubai connecting 30 entities that will receive suggestions, comments, and ideas on which brainstorming sessions will be conducted. The plan has set clear the guidelines, the processes and follow-up mechanism for the implementation of this initiative, ensuring that Dubai Customs is a key diver in fulfilling the goals of MBR Smart Initiative.

Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, headed a meeting with DC’s top officials to oversee the implementation of the action plan and ensure that ideas presented to the Majlis for improving customs and foreign trade services are given the due attention.

Musabih called upon employees to present valuable ideas to the MBR Smart Majlis.

“Dubai is renowned for its open door policy and how easily it is for people to communicate with the ruler. Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Majlis is the cream of initiatives launched by our prudent leaders for a sustainable development here in the UAE,” Ahmed Mahboob added.

The Director of Strategy and Corporate Excellence Department at Dubai Customs Ahmed Abdul Salam Kazim spoke in detail about the role MBR Smart Majlis would play in generating ideas and stimulating creativity, which contributes to the overall development of the economy and community.

In addition, Hussain Al Fardan, Manager of Suggestions & Complaints at DC, introduced the attendees to the steps to be followed for registration at the Majlis’ user-friendly web platform.
