DUBAI: Dubai Customs authorities in a special inspection of an international flight has seized 10 kilograms gold being smuggled from Dubai from a passenger.
Customs Assistant Collector Saqib Warraich, on a tip-off ordered inspection of PK-411 coming from Dubai. Passenger Muhammad Aslam, son of Hajji Muhammad Ismaeel, was found with 10 kg of gold worth Rs 39 million.
“The rules have been made clear to the people about carrying gold and money on the flight. Such irregularities will not be tolerated,” Saqib said.
