KARACHI: DWP expressed their serious concerns over rising number theft of goods from containers by transporters, driver during transit from Karachi Port to Lahore and appealed to PEMA members to take action in this regard.
In the recent past these incidences have triggered and this mafia including transporters, drivers and their associates started this whole game. They have no fear or hurdle from any quarter. They become real gangsters with local area support. We DWP feels imperative to share this experience with all respective Pema members. We all may not feel hesitant to share these ugly things with each other. The culprits have a well planned mechanism and modus operandi for committing these crimes.
Alhamdullillah we have succeeded to recovered the goods from the mouth of these culprits. These goods were transported through Pak Sarhad Goods Transport Co. & Muqadas Khaliq Goods Transport Co.
They even not require to open the seal. They have systems on the way to open the container and pick the stuff of their choice and than close it again. Drivers are minting money. These seals remained intact. Its big MAFIA theft goods from containers very technically by removal and properly fixed the same seal.
In view of above Pema may highlight the crime scene and their modus operandi to the transport association. So this may not happen again and again. We may also approach respective law enforcement agencies for intervening. this big issue.
In our case police has played a positive role to reach to the culprits and safe retrieval of cargo.
