ISLAMABAD: Shahid Ijaz Tarar, a BS-18 officer of Inland Revenue Service Group, has been allowed to avail scholarship in South Korea.
The officer, currently posted as Deputy Commissioner, Regional Tax Office, Islamabad, has been allowed to undertake Korea International Cooperation Agency Capacity Building of Public Administration Master Degree Program in International Studies at Seoul National University, South Korea under KOICA Scholarship Programme from August 10, 2016 to December 15, 2017.
The period of his scholarship/study abroad will be treated as deputation, said a Board’s notification, adding, Federal Board of Revenue has no objection to proceeding of the officer aboard during his deputation period.
However, the performance allowance (equivalent to 100 per cent of the basic pay) admissible to the officer will remain discontinued during the deputation period.
