Afghan route closure weighs on Pakistan-Central Asia trade, exports fall 9%, imports plunge 88%

KARACHI: Deputy Director Directorate General of Transit Trade, Karachi, Muhammad Mumtaz Ali Raza Chaudhary is among nine BS-18 officers of Pakistan Customs Service nominated by the Establishment Division for 19th Mid Career Management Course at National Institute of Management, Karachi.

The course at NIM Karachi would be held from January 5 to April 10, 2015. In addition to Karachi the course would also be offered at NIM Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta. Five PCS officers are nominated to attend the course at NIM Lahore while three and one PCS officers of SB-18 are nominated to take the Mid Career Management Course at NIM Peshawar and Quetta respectively.

Courses at Lahore and Peshawar would be held from January 5 to April 10 while course at Quetta is scheduled to be held from March 2 to June 5, 2015. The nominated officers are required to report to respective NIM at Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar on January 2, 2015 and at NIM Quetta on February 27, 2015. A nominated officer declining to undertake the mandatory training for two consecutive training courses would forfeit the right to be considered for promotion.
