NEW YORK: Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires is currently available for purchase on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One (Both at retail), PlayStation 3 (PlayStation Store) and PC (Steam). It is interesting to know that this will happen for the first time since DW6E that an Empires game has been released on an Xbox console.
Different from other releases in the Dynasty Warriors franchise, DW8E delivers many of the usual “Empires” edition features such as the ability to create custom warriors and granting the ability to conquer “Three Kingdoms” China as any Dynasty Warriors character of your choosing or as a figment of your imagination. Additional features have also been introduced, including more detailed customization of warriors, horses and armies; in addition to many other improvements made since DW7E.
While Create-a-Warrior has been improved considerably since Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires was released a couple of years ago, the system is similar enough that players will be able to import their previous custom officers if they owned the original PlayStation 3 edition of the game. This transfer will be handled by the free-to-download Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires Free Alliances Version which will be available at an unspecified date next month. The Free Alliances Version will also allow anyone to sample the DW8E experience in Free or Edit mode, and PlayStation Plus users can even play in Empire Mode or Free Mode online with other players.
