While it may not come as surprising for Battlefield: Hardline, seeing that Battlelog has been an integral part of both Battlefield 3 and 4 EA deciding to pair it up with Star Wars: Battlefront III may not quite go well with some players.

Battlelog is the player’s central HQ hub, from where the next game is planned, progress and statistics are tracked, loadouts are customized and set, servers are searched and joined, minimaps are accessed and commander mode is played – and it all happens from a web browser on your PC, phones or tablets.

Over on Reddit, a debate has already begun weighing the pros and cons of having Battlelog with Battlefront III. The popular opinion is that most find the server joining mechanism annoying. Those with slower Internet connections have to go through large waiting times, just to start play.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like EA is going to back down from its decision. They consider Battlelog as an important part of their ecosystem and there’s no way they will be changing any aspect for Battlefront III.

Battlefield: Hardline will be releasing March 17 on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Star Wars: Battlefront III will be releasing late-2015 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
